Below are a list of useful resources, talks, videos, and more, for anyone learning Sign Language. Check them out for tips on signing and communicating with deaf people, and lots more!

British Sign

British Sign has all the tools and resources you would ever need to learn BSL! There's information about BSL, an online BSL dictionary, fingerspelling practice, and even an online BSL course you can do. Check them out if you've had a good time at our lessons and want to take it a little further!

Signstation

SignStation is run by the University of Bristol, who are quickly making it into an invaluable resource for all things sign-language-education related. The have links to help with learning BSL, testing yourself, learning more about the culture, and even sign language etiquette. Really good if you want to do some quick catching up.

John Smith, deaf comedian at Beautiful BSL

John uses his skills in BSL to bring comedy to both deaf and hearing people alike. He's performed shows in the UK, Ireland, America, and Australia, all through BSL! He's got some great, funny videos on his website, which use varying levels of sign language. They're subtitled too, for when you get a little lost!

Forest Books online bookshop

For those of you looking to learn even more BSL than what we teach in the classes, this is a great website. You'll find books sorted into difficulty categories, from kids all the way to BSL Level 3. Whatever aspect of BSL you're wanting to learn about, you'll definitely find a book about it - and they have lots of sales on too!

DEAFinitely Theatre Company

DEAFinitely theatre employs some truly talented BSL actors. They run plays for both hearing and deaf audiences through BSL. In the past, they've done everything from a BSL adaptation of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream to a play about Something Else, a little creature always trying to fit in. They're currently running a one-woman show at the Park Theatre in London which has had some amazing reviews!
